aNOMALY.
given versus unbuilt.
This theme explores the contrast and overlap between existing environments, elements, structures or ideas ("given") and the potential for new, unconstructed or conceptualised spaces ("unbuilt"). This duality within the series can mean challenging existing norms, reconceptualising conventional designs or questioning the boundaries between what is already there and what is yet to be created. "aNomaly" deals with the fascinating interplay between what already exists and what has yet to be realised and cant be realised in the world of design and architecture.
Dimensional hierarchies.
What is an Anomaly?
It may be something that is again a norm, something that goes against a certain system or rule set. Since a system is defined and controlled by its creator, an anomaly is neither controlled nor can be predicted.
"Or is it?
Maybe it is the missing piece of the whole?"
This project is dedicated to a contradicted design solution. It's about trying to bring 2 opposite things together, but not in a way to create a new symbiotic THING, but to have the dimensions, functions, meanings and forms of both sides.
