static versus kinetic.
This theme explores the dynamic interplay of elements of stability and movement in the context of design and architecture. It addresses the contrasting aspects of static, immutable structures or spaces and kinetic, dynamic elements that can adapt, transform or respond to different factors, including interaction with the user. "reCursed" aims to challenge traditional notions of static and kinetic design and create a coexistence between these seemingly opposing qualities, ultimately resulting in hybrid spaces that offer both stability and adaptability, challenging conventional boundaries of architecture and design.

My main goal with reCursed is to create a coexistence between the user and the space, where the traditional roles of object and subject are blurred or replaced, which means a departure from the conventional way we perceive and interact with spaces. In this context, my aim is to question and rethink the established norms of how we interact with our surroundings by arguing for a more dynamic and interactive way of experiencing space. In this way, a deeper exploration of the symbiotic nature of this relationship is encouraged, where the user is not just a passive inhabitant, but an active participant who shapes and is animated by the space.
What if the user's actions can shape the environment that he/she is in and the space can shape or define the action of a user?
Architecture is lost and unfinished when there is a lack of sensitivity towards sensory experiences other than vision. Architecture is always meant to be experienced in a multisensory way. With this work, I question spaces that have been designed for the communal/general public. How they make the individual worthless…
Is there a way to combine both? In a non defined, open for interpretation space, can there be individually inhabited and defined subspaces?
